Flavia has an old washing machine that fills with soapy water, spins the clothes, drains. Then fills again with water, spins, drains. The only part that's missing is the spin cycle AFTER the water drains. So in the end you're left with clean, really wet clothes you then have to wring out and hang on the line. This process takes a while but there is admittedly something nice about hanging the laundry outside.
Did I read that correctly?! "there is admittedly something nice about hanging the laundry outside." WOW
ReplyDeleteYes you did! And yes it WAS a subtle message to my mother in law that she's had it all right all this time! ;)
ReplyDeleteI soooo miss hanging clothes out to dry. That washing machine was so crappy that I washed all our stuff by hand. That was my favorite past time!!!! Yay!
