Tchao Queridos Irmãos de São Sebastião!

Goodbye Dear Friends of Saint Sebastian!

The time had come to say goodbye and we knew that a surprise party was in the works.

On the way to Manoel & Menice's for "lasagna" we were practicing how we were going to react when everyone was there and screaming, "Surprise!"...

Sure enough, we walked in and everyone was there (including some of the unbelieving husbands!) shouting, "Surprise!"  But we didn't have to react.  Menice told us to stand there and not say anything.  She then queued up kingdom melody #85 and everyone revealed a song book they had hidden behind their back.

They sang us the first verse of this song and we stood there speechless and surprised after all...
in a puddle of tears.

Goodbye street..
Goodbye empty house..

We'll never forget this amazing experience.

  1. Ben and Meghan--Thank you so much for taking us to Brazil with you! We felt like we had a little taste of what is is like to serve in another land where the need is SO great. You put a lot of time and effort into this blog and every word and experience you shared with us was deeply appreciated. We laughed and cried as we read about your many adventures and amazing experiences. You are a fine example of self-sacrificing love for our heavenly Father and for those who need to hear the good news. May Jehovah bless you in your new assignment. We love you guys!

  2. Yes, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. for taking the time to share this wonderful, encouraging, faith strengthing experience with all of us. Seeing your love for people and Jehovah and how Jehovah provided in so many ways. It brought back so many memories for me. You will always cherish this very special time. I am so happy for you and the studies and the friends, but I am also crying for the sadness of having to leave ones you have come to love soooo much. but as you stated, they are in the best of hands and you will see of them again. Sooner or later.
Be asured of my love and graditude for your zeal. John
